lastly, the singer could be telling someone who is unhappy or down in their luck (the lonely shadow) that everything will be okay, wich I believe the most logical. I think this due to the language in the song. For example, 'Fear not tonight' 'Dream a dreamAnd see through angels eyesA place where we can fly away'' to me means dream of a pleasent place different from the one we're in and we can go there, rise above the bad. It could also be about unrequited love, how the singer wishes the person he/she loves to lay beside them and how she/he wishes fly away with them.

I interperet the song in many ways.firstly, as a reference to death. take the''Lonely Shadow'' could describe the dark and mysterious being that is described by most cultures to bring about death (i.e, the angel of death or the grim reaper) this could also be indecated by the use of the word Elysium and the reference to angels
