many theatrical performers have found out that they look washed out under kleig lights. the makeup artists advise them to emphasize the eye. David Cook learned this in college where he earned a theatrical degree.The theater jargon calls it greasepaint.

don't get me wrong i mean i love cook but i don't like the eye liner he puts on. he has nice eyes he doesn't need it. good singer though :) |
