oh in bloodlines there are quite a lot npc. but it's kind of an "empty" LA ;)I'd prefer they use the old WoD, but it's more than probable they'll use the new one, since for them, the other WoD is "over and done". They closed it, story line endend, and they're working on other games.

Yeah in vampire the masquerade bloodlines they didn't have a million npcs or even anything close to that. But I wonder which world of darkness would they use, the new one or the old one? Sure they new one is new and they might favor it, but then again the old one has a nice following. But the time is right to make WoD mmorpg in this world of dime a dozen vampire books, just look how well the twilight series *shudders* is doing.

I agree, it's almost always broken (french revolution times thingy...)But on the other hand, white wolf never says vampires are living reparted equitably through the world (crap my english sucks).in that statistic, there aren't any vampire in asia (kuei jin don't enter the statistic) ;)

:)We always changed that 1 vampire for 100 000 kine rule, because we play here in our hometown, in Hungary, and our town's population is about 80 000. XD (and this is the capitol of our county)

The original programmers made an official patch, but then the compagny (Troika) died. Fanprogrammers released a bunch of non official patches to improve the game, adding clans for example, but also fixing much more bugs ^^

Indeed, just because of statistics (1 vampire for 100 000 kine, as said in some VtM books), it gives me a headhache just to imagine HOW they're going to program the mmorpg. If they try to do it right, as a character you should be able to talk to everybody. That's some badass coding !The problem is that the WoD is more of a "social" "interactions" type of game, except for when you play Werewolf, it's a bit more "adventure"... Whereas in warcraft or dungeons, you just kill and take quests ;)

I heard that too, but I don't think it's a good idea...I mean...if you estimate the number of VtM players...they'd have to make a lot of human npcs, because there'd be much more kindred than kine. And maybe it would ruin the "hide-from-the-humanity" style of the game (a city swarming with vamps?)Maybe if you could choose between other races, as werewolves, mages, hunters, it would be fun.

No they didn't buy CCP, but they bought EVE online's codage, basis, bugs and all. They bought the lience for the program if you will ;)

They... bought EVE online? First of all, EVE online is a game. CCP is the developer. Second I'm not sure White Wolf "bought" CCP or the other way around, all I know is they merged. But yes, there are plans for a World of Darkness MMO.
