Look. Just say a meaningless sound over and over! That's all there is to it! Did two courses in 1979. The second one was over several days for several thousand dollars - even then! Lots of droning on and pontificating so that you fall asleep. In those days the teachers promoted this notion of Sidhic flying! NOw they are more careful about it.All you will get for your $2000 is a sound. Mine is Auinga! Another one is Mien (Spelling might be wrong here but sound is the same)

i have heard of a doctor. Dr Mitchell Gibson (he's on youtube)He did TM for many years and then he could see ghosts, apparently. So..i don't know.Is that possible Acharya Shree? Please explain

I received an enquiry regarding a previous message on this page, and post the reply if others have the same question: Ayam Atma Brahm is not a mantra of Transcendental Meditation, but it is a Mahavakya - great saying - which translates as I am the transcendental Self, I am Brahman. The key to this experience is Transcendental Meditation. The mantras given by Maharishi come from the Vedic Tradition of his Master. They are passed on as an oral tradition, from teacher to student.

It is very important to research what we are pursuing. I paid $1250 for T.M. and no amount of money in the world can buy the amazing Truth and joy it has helped me cultivate. The money goes towards great things. Also,The teachers have to support their families. You have personal checking,instruction for life pretty much anywhere in the world. A class at most universities is very expensive. This is a course that offers Knowledge and is yours forever. Nothing is more worth our money than Truth!

Great vid, thanks for the advice. We need to make things like meditation more available and practical for everyday people. We arent all trying to find a supreme being, but if more of us found a little inner peace it would have a positive effect on our world, dont ya think?

Maharishi did nothing but teach us how to unfold the Self. He gave us the technique to unfold the Self to the Self by the Self. That was his great contribution--the experience of Atma for anyone who wants it. No strain, no moodmaking, no intellectualizing, just really transcending and experiencing the Self, twenty minutes twice a day and then full time every day. Ayam Atma Brahm, you are Brahm, all is the Self. He gave the pathless path not to enquire about it, but to experience it first hand.

Yes, course fee in USA is 2,000, and it varies according to country and socio-economic standards of the country. There are as happytogrow says payment over time plans and certain options of scholarship. Basically, everyone who likes to learn can learn. I got much much more than I expected. And they treat you with dignity. Really nice people. |
