Lol, oh yeah, I love metal slug, mario too, but alot of the games, and I can without a doubt say around 80% of them are like 3D RPG, i don't knwo the word for it, erm, not side scroller games, like Halo, FF which has evolved into that. :/

I can't really agree with you :DMany people actually enjoy oldscool side scrollers. I personally like curent shooters, but an older game like metal slug is still fun to play ^^Older generations just have that nostalgic feeling when they play those video games...

The world now doesnt play 2D/3D Side Scroller game now people, maybe stupid Maple Story, but the new things are 3D RPG, Shooting, etc, learn to change people... Adapt to new stuff okay?? Stop comparing this to the old game, this one barely have any relation besides the looks and name, perhaps the movie, but damn ._.lll

might not be as good as abe ones but you gotta admit that the visuals were pretty good compared to old ones but i agree exodus and oddysee are better and i hope that the new one that they actually said might be made at LEAST brings abe back and has the same idea cuz the game story and idea for stranger's wrath would have been good just not for the oddworld series' story

Don't get me wrong, I LIKE the old 2D graphics as well as the great story and gameplay. But I'd like a new Oddworld game to do good with the average gamer today and know what they'd have to do to sell it. In most cases it's by requirements of money-hungry publishers too.

look it might just be what i think but some people prefer the older and 2D odd world then the newer stuff or the other way around i dont like the first two because its 2D i like it case its Abe's story like saving mud.s not eggs and what ever this one is about its just what some people like and i just happen to be one of those people that would rather prefer the first two and enjoy them more odd world 1 and 2 is the only two games that r 2D and lame graphics that i like in the whole world

I wouldn't mind seeing a new platform Abe game if it used the visual style of the new Bionic Commando Rearmed on XBLA for example.The old 2D style, even though it's gorgeous and moody quality, would be be hard to sell to the kids nowadays who doesn't care about anything else but glow, reflection, texture resolution, shader model etc... then gameplay -__- |
