Wow. I never knew a white, 17-year-old could sound so much like a black woman singing. My sides would burst from laughter but then I realize that he just butchered an amazing song by an amazing singer.

wheter it's coincidence or not, if MOST school choirs sing popular songs like that then i feel sorry for you. My school's choir has been to Carnegie Hall in New York, Chicago, San Diego, and on a tour in Italy just this summer. And let me tell you, not one of those songs was something "popular" from the everyday radio show.

i really don't think she meant "it's ridiculous" in a bad way. i really think she was just pointing out a coincidence. and MOST school choirs sing popular songs like this.

so, cheer7780... who picks your choirs songs? maybe if your choir was half-way good you'd have real songs and not a sing-a-long. get real, david is better than anyone in your choir so get over yourself.

cheer7780, then whoever picks out songs for your choir has good taste. Why do you think it's ridiculous? Paula picked this out not David Archuleta. There were songs that David wanted to do, but he was not allowed to do. He was wise, when given the musician or era, to pick songs he liked and was familar with. They didn't have much prep time. He's lived a shorter live than the other top Idols and so had less exposure to various songs. Do you think the other Idols chose unfamilar songs? Peace out!
