I loved this album. They went heavy, which, in my opinion, gave them more cred. Still liked the first two records ... although "Dog Eat Dog" is standout.

me too i couldn't get into the grunge SHITVANA thing but looking back now thank whoever that kurt cobain came around because bands such as poison,warrant...had to die!just a bunch of average musicians with make up and hair trying to rock lol

1992...Could'nt get into grunge... didn't get Nirvana or other grunge bands. I'm a huge fan of Warrant due to Jani Lane's vocals and song writing. Saints of the Underground take me back to "the days"!! Check them out on Myspace!!

Personally, I think this album is equally as classic as the same year's Megadeth's Countdown to Extinction and Testament's The Ritual.

Warrant's Dog Eat Dog being released in 1992 is either a blessing or a curse depending on the perspective.On one hand, they were pretty much singled out of people's radars (mainstream-wise) but on the other, having an album released in the same year alongside classic albums by the likes of Pantera, Kyuss, Dream Theater, Sonic Youth, Alice in Chains and Melvins only served to compliment how well Warrant made their impact artistically.This album is a true timeless classic which hasn't dated.

Additionally, '91 even had Anthrax release a big hit single and RHCP had their huge hit album too (which was released on the same day as Nirvana's Nevermind) so who knows how Warrant would have fared with their sound versus the other harder sounds.My favorite record of that year was Dark Angel's Time Does Not Heal. Second to that: Sepultura's Arise.I'm glad Warrant released this album in 1992 seeing as how that was also the same year Faith No More blessed us with Angel Dust.
