Sir Winston Churchill is lauded as the Icon of the War, incredible speeches and his troops defeated Germans single handedly at Battle of Britain. My fave Churchill quote..."History will be kind to me..for i intend to write it"OK..with the Soviets as the Superpower of the allies killed over 7.7 million Germans (75% +)..then in 1945 summit america requested Soviets help defeat Japan of which huge Soviet invasion of Manchuria a key victory. Without the Russians we aint speakin English today

Idiot. britain was saved because of brave Polish Pilots. If you attacked Germany with France when germany invaded Poland the war would have not taken 5 years.

of all the nations that were taken over by the nazi's, they couldn't take useven as there air force was bigger, but we were determined, as he once said "we will never surrender", to be honest us winning the battle of britain, and the USSR turning against hitler and the USA joining the war, was the turn of the tide of the last great war

I hope you don't think for one minute that the USofA made all the difference. The only difference that Britain and the USofA made was that the Iron Curtain came down where it did instead of on the English Channel Coast. the USSR had Germany beaten without a British or American soldier in France. Also don't forget that it was Hitler who declared war on the US and if he hadn't they would have stayed out of it and gone off to defeat the Japs - who never had a chance anyway.

im only 22 but since being a kid ive always loved history excpecially learning about the war and listening to me grandad story about his war days and watching that vid made me even more proud to be english and respect to all that lost there lives and the ones that returned home alive, and me grandad always says every1 was hero but even more so the ones that didnt return home alive R.I.P nice job on vid

I agree dazzledog6,it took many nations and sacrifices of many brave men and woman to defeat nazism.Bickering about which country scored the most points is childish and un neccessary.Winston ruled.
