"Scientific evidence" also says that we all came from monkeys as well so I take that with a grain of salt as a Christian. Again, I'm not sure this topic of Jesus' color is edifying or even prudent to the topic. Slavery is wrong. It was wrong in America. It was wrong in Africa. I attend a church of mixed races, maybe 60% white, 30% latin, 10% black, Those numbers reflect the ethnic make-up of my community. What church do you attend and what is it's make-up? Just curious....

Far as I'm concerned I think this sermon was blown out of proportion. You know how many pastors sound like this guy? My childhood Pastor was very similar to Wright. I guess I am desensitized.

oops i meant "didn't" Anyway, yeah I agree with you. It pains me to admit it as well, but America is the world's biggest state sponsor of terrorism. Look at the CIA, they go around the world and topple any government that wont agree to give them what they want. There are so many examples I wont even go into it. But people just dont want to wake up, we were never that shining city on the hill... Read up on your American history.Also, watch Zeitgeist on google video. Its an amazing film!

andy: The big deal is--1) he was used as a (failed) political ploy to stop Obama; 2) he's a well-read & confident black man (a no-no to many); 3)attacking him was easy-he didn't "fight back"; 4) cyber-bullies once started, find it difficult to stop; & 5) many attacks are an excuse for bigots to spew hateful slurs in an "acceptable" political forum, over the internet, w/o risking a "beat down."Also, Americans are not used to hearing that we might have done ANYTHING "wrong" EVER.

If you study the genetic evidence, you will note all life started in Africa. The genetic evidences proves it. However, everyone likes to make Jesus in their own image. It bothers me because Jesus was who he was. It didn't matter to me what color Jesus was. God could have made him spring from anywhere. However, what white supremecists have done was use the white Jesus to enslave the hearts and minds of blacks everywhere. That's my issue with it, the removal of Africans from history.

What exactly is your point? Black people discriminate just as much to whites. Does that mean that we all do? No. It's generalized statements like that which are just as racists as voting for someone solely because they're the same color as you.

Rev. Wright has said nothing i've been hearing all of my life. I heard this everywhere I go, in school church etc. White people do discriminate against Blacks>>always have and still is. If Obama name was Brad Smith and a white man, would those accusations remain the same? No. Racist white people use a cover, but we see who dragged the man, who lynch blacks for no reasons. whites are the biggest murderers I've seen. Threw blacks off the boat. kill millions of innocent and babies. That's wrong |
