Just because a song is emotional doesn't make it "emo", emo is a real genre, based on musical composition, sure it sparks emotion in it's fans, but really, there are good emo songs without lyrics at all...

I know what you are saying, but i think the bigger crime is all the bands that carry the "alternative" flag today. There is nothing alternative about them. Alternative became the brand name for all the bands in the 90's but it's an oxymoron situation because alternative MEANT non-mainstream. It was really just the culmination of the underground scene in the 80's. (just took my pill) I'm ok now.
