i love his use of space. between taans .....plus for some reason his sitar sounds so modern compared to other people....not that i think hes better all the legends are great and i wouldnt pass judgement unless i m at that standard

Yes, talim and riyaz go hand in hand. But continuing with riyaz even when the going is tough will make a difference to your music. To put it another way, talim is 5 mins to a lifetime of riyaz.

With all due respect to Vilayt Khan Shahib and everyone else, this man has taken this instrument to a different level. Vilayt Khan Shaib was magical during his era. Today, it's this man's era. Please give him the credit where the credit is due. AND don't be jealous. He does things on sitar that no one has tried before him and EVERYONE KNOWS THAT. I am sure someone else will come and i am sure he would be more talented than UstadJi. HOWEVER, until then, he is the king.
