It sounds like East Timor in 2002 (correct me if i say anything wrong)-Indonesians spent more money on this region than their other provinces. After several violent civil war, East Timor finally granted independence because Aussie promised than to develop their oil industry. However, Aussie's broke their promise. Today, East Timorese were suffered from high unemployed rate and social instability.Thank you, Aussies. Now do you guys want to do the same thing to West Papua?

How did this development, as you call it, assist and support the rightful owners of the country - the Papuan people?

Pure propaganda. Do you know that Indonesian spent more money to develop Papua than any province in Indonesia? I absolutely agree with ykarubaba, and wuysang.

can you point exactly where west papua is on the map? or it's just your western colonialist propaganda working on like it's always happen, don't try to show the fake image while your freeport is taking the gold away from the papuan. the real problem is not the governmen, it's the western greed

it's rather too little to late, we as Indonesian already learn from bitter memory of east timor. so, next time there will be no interest of giving papua an independence, at least until all gold mine soak up by american freeport( logically true, isn't it ??) That american capitalist who should be blame, freeport had lied to papua people & indonesians ince 70's, that the mine is copper, not gold !

The Kanaky plight for freedom and basic human rights to needs to be addressed and recognized at an international level.Idonesia is commiting an offence (even as we speak), just as other colonists have done. There is no justification in forcibly 'Aquiring' someones land without some sort of agreement with the 'true' inhabitants. Other atrocities are taking place in the region. We need to hear the truth...FREE THE PEOPLE OF THE MORNING STAR!!
