I can understand that...but if your ill and you cant see a docter...or you get worse or die waiting for surgery..or you the hospital doesnt have the equipment you need( we send our patience to the US...if you guys dont have it, where will you go?) or you just dont get a good docter bc alot have left bc you dont pay them what they are worth......is that better? And you pay for it will more tax's plus monthly......it might be better, but might be worse..

I don't know what the answer is but the US system in which most people's care is controlled by for-profit insurance companies, is far from perfect. For 20+ yrs,I had insurance through work, then I was laid off. I got other work but without insurance. Because of a pre-existing condition, it was very hard to find private insurance. I finally found a company that would sell to me for a high price but would not cover medications. After a while I just could not afford it. I dread getting ill.

Socailism is all in the name of "fairness". Life isnt fair, it never will be...it's life. Not all ppl are smart, not all ppl can draw, not all ppl can act, not all ppl can nurse...we are equal under the law but not the same....I will never have the house that a lawyer has, so what? How does his life effect mine? It doesn other than I can see what I dont have and can have envy. Not a good way to run a country.

It boils down to what you get verses what you give up. I prefer not gettinghand outs, paying for services, having the freedom to live where I want, get the job I want and work to make my life what I want without government interferance. Now, thats not where I live :) but its more like that here than other places. Why would I want to have the gov, tell me what to spend my money on, who to give it too, where to live, what docter to see, what medical services I can get and when.

I have family in Denmark, Faro Islands and friends in France,yes I understand. In Denmark you are put on a waiting list for an apartment when you are a child...ppl use the free education and then leave to get better paying jobs else where, my family did that:), Swedan doesnt allow many ppl to immigrate, they like their world and dont want it to change, it works but no new ppl...

"as bad as say Swedan or Denmark or France..."Have you lived in one of those "bad" countries? I have. Public schools were very good and those who qualified could go to college w/o piling up huge debt. The health care was free and high quality. The taxes were higher but that did not prevent a good standard of living & many families even have a coastal or mountain vacation cottage. & in general people were much less in debt than in US. Not saying it's perfect- no place is. Sorry abt yr son!
