My big problem with this game was the lack of being able to pilot a ship. Yes, there's a Pilot skill, yes there's a system for building spaceships, but there is absolutely NO clues given as to how to get those systems together. Most of the advantages are overpriced as well (as they cost the same as bringing up a core ability die code but only have a fraction of the benefit you would gain by simply bringing up a core ability die code)

I noticed that on my read-through too, and I think that it's a very laudable achievement from its creators to make a game which is so newcomer-friendly. Because, to be honest if you're an older gamer, you can just have the serenity setting in your favourite system.

Cool ideas both. Thanks for the inpit. 1 is very doable, I'll try 2 more often.This is a game that is friendlier to new gamers than to older gamers. Odd that.Kurt

I'd like 2 'types' of added info (on this game and every game actually)#1 How much? (prices vary I know but a ballpark figure would be helpfull)#2 How easy is it if you have no experience with this type what so ever? You mentioned something but I guess you know a 'bit' about these type of games. :)Love the show by the way. |
