He aquí una de las composiciones más conocidas de Chopin, que es hoy día una de las piezas favoritas del repertorio para piano. Se trata de una pieza muy exigente que requiere habilidades excepcionales y virtuosismo al piano para ser tocada con un nivel de calidad adecuado: tempo rubato, escalas rapidísimas, trinos, rápidas octavas, arpeggios, amplios acordes que exigen abrir mucho las manos, terceras cromáticas...

When a nearly blind and deaf man can play better than Horowitz you know something is either very wrong with Horowitz or very right with Rubenstein! I can assume the over pedaling is due to hearing problems :)

this was an EVENT - not just a recital, and certainly not about 'ideal' performance, if such a thing can even exist.I love his closing chords - to me they say, "I've been playing this piece my whole life, and this will be the last time. Farewell".Rubinstein was a VERY great artist. Much more than a mere pianist.RIP
