he turned his engine on full troutle bcoz he already get the clearence frm tower/ and another fact is , he didnt remove the brake until he lined up on runway!!! so it doesnt mak any difference,., its known that,,, bangladeshi pilots r one of the best in this world!!!

DC-10/MD-11 in the past had so many flaws. but after some changes on the Blueprint,Flight Tests, and wind tunnel tests, this bird is now safe to fly! Too bad these Passenger type Tri-engines are now converted to cargo (F). So, Feast your eyes on Fed-Ex's and UPS's MD-10's and MD-11's! and some Cargo Company's that uses this kind of Bird. One of the greatest planes ever made.

as far as i know, strobe lights of an aircraft should be turned on when the aircraft enters the runway for lineup. but in this video, its clearly seen that the strobe lights are on when the a/c was taxiing. is it some kind of mistake? i'd be very glad if anyone make it clear to me plz. Thanks in advance.

i don't know whether it's a good news or bad news for you guys, but Biman Bangladesh Airlines now made deal with Boeing for purchasing ten brand new aircrafts (four 773ER, four 788 and two 738). So these aeging DC 10's are going to be replaced within some years. Hope Biman will stand erect in the aviation market with those latest generation aircrafts. Thanks.

veedubchris-its not always the DC-10 that causes the crash. for example the American DC-10 that lost an engine in Chicago was American Airlines fault because of doing maintenance wrong. DC-10s also can be cheaper than to fly than more efficient aircraft (example: Northwest's DC-9s are cheaper to fly than Airbus A320s because their DC-9s aren't leased). i like the DC-10 and i'm glad i got to fly one. i hope they stay around for a long time.

your right there hav been quite a lot of crash's on DC-10'S. like that american airlines one wen the engine dropped off after take-off

what's your problem? I have my opinion, you have yours. I did not make an abusive statement, I simply said I hope not to fly on an MD. Nothing wrong with that. There is no need to be so childish and abuse people from behind a PC screen. And they are not the safest planes, that is quite clearly a fact.
