Well, take trans fats for example. These are not found in nature at all. There is zero nutritional value, and was only developed as a cheaper alternative to lard. Research has in fact proven that lipase, the enzyme in our bodies that breaks down fat, is ineffective against trans fats, so they stay in our system for much longer. They linger in our arteries and increase the risk of heart disease and obesity. If your body doesn't know what it is, it would hardly know how to digest it. Duh.

Mother nature packages Whole foods like a carrot for instance in special ways. An organic carrot found in nature is going to have vitamins, minerals, enzymes, co-factors etc. All of these nutrients help the body to use the food to the fullest. Many people are so focused on calories but forget that foods that have been processed, like junk foods, all nutrition has been stripped out of it. Organic, local, free range vegies fruits and meats balanced for your metabollic type is the answer!

complete bullshitt. Your body does not recognize these chemicals as food so you don't digest them which = poop. Retards.

It is so hard trying to go from a over processed diet to a more natural one. Everywhere you look is highly processed fatty foods. I want see more healthy options everywhere! Vending machines, convenient stores, restaurants, and the grocery store. Unfortunately, my local grocery store doesn't have the freshest fruit. :(

I am a raw vegan. My skin looks great. I am hardly ever tired and I easily stay at an ideal haelthy weight. I am close to 30 and people mistake me for being 16 or 17 all the time. Eating organic raw food is actually more cost effective than eating processed junk food. I only buy food that will provide my body with clean usable fuel.
