I like to look at it as an improvement rather than a rip off

No, I meant the song is on that album. But the album didn't come out until '94. Look it up anywhere, it's not very hard to find. You suggest Wikipedia, which I checked and verified my information. But I try not to use that source, since it's written by totally random people and could be completely wrong.

Now I have no idea what you're trying to say, Bombtrack didn't come out until '94, even though it was released already in '92? What am I missing here?Bombtrack released in '92.I'm Broken released in '94.Do we agree?
ScottXC91 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Yeah you would be right about the album, but it didn't come out until '94. So good try.

Bombtrack was released on Rage Against the Machine's first album, called Rage Against the Machine, in 1992. Bombtrack is the first song on the album. Go look it on Wikipedia if you don't believe me.You're acting like finding a similar riff is always copying, when it could aswell be a tribute or just coincidence.

The rythm is the same as Pantera's song but the tuning is completely different.

AWESOME¡¡¡ PLEASE PLAY AGAIN
ScottXC91 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Yeah nice try, dumbass. "25 Years" in on the album "Far Beyond Driven" which came out on March 15, 1994, "Bombtrack" wasn't released until June 20, 1994. So there's no way that Dime copied Morello, since "25 Years" was released first. So you can shut up about that. Oh and the next time you try to sound smart using interjections like that. You should probably know that "Touche" is used to accept defeat, not declare it. So NOW you may say it, as I have defeated you.

rocked my wind?
Juuueeel (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
And Dimebag ripped off Rage Against the Machine's (Tom Morello's old band) riff from "Bombtrack" in their song "25 Years". Touché. |
