What a load of shit. Magick is just ritualized wishful thinking. It doesnt work. Its like this law of atraction shit. If it really works, don't you think I wouldve manifested a few million bucks by now? Or cured my illnesses? Or I dunno, tranformed into a real superman and save the fuckin planet? The dumbasses who believe that what you think becomes reality and that if you believe 100% that you can do anything...you ought to believe you can fly 100% and go walk off a skyscraper. Good luck!

Every thing is Fine ..Fines for dropping litter fines for parking . Why is it in the mean-time and not friendly time . Why is it days of the week ?(audio cantation)weak ? Like he says The golden carat is the carrot used to spur on the middleclasses .

I agree ..and can add . Our reality is governed by symbol pattern recognition . And we create synaptic pathways based on linking the symbol to the pattern. Superstitions work the same way ..Ie if a black cat crosses your path ..it means good luck ..But only if you have created the link between good luck and black cat.Its our role as magicians to create new spells using these type of links . But like superstitions the links are personal and depend on the power of belief to activate them

I see what you mean; and you're right, most people will have an experience with success and rush to interpret it as a Rule and be dogmatic about it- instead of simply looking at it as a Successful Pattern or Useful Paradigm. However, that doesn't subtract from the Qabala and since it is the Father of chaos magic I think it deserves a proper introduction. Its like cross-checking the news with source material. The Qabalah doesn't contradict the concept of Infinite Mind anyway.

I appreciate your ideas, but I think the trouble with Qabalah is that it implies rules. There are no rules. It's all inn your mind. Rules in regards to magick ARE superstition. It's all in the mind. WHat you think is powerful IS powerful - that's it. That's all there is.

Besides the gripe about the Qabalah, however, I think that Chaos magic should be applauded for its emphasis on practicality and embracing pop culture. Advice to the newcomer to magic: Learn your Kaballah!

My main gripe with Chaos Magick is that it confuses newbies by not introducing them to Qabalah early on. Do you guys think Peter Caroll or AOS didnt know the Qabalah? Without a Meta-Map such as the Qabalah and The Tree of Life you are practicing magic superstitiously.

"can I get a complete collection of Graphic Novels for fuck all then please?"Actually, yes you can. There are comic-scan blogs and message boards all over the net, if you don't mind consorting with pirates. I'm not advocating it, I like having a physical copy of what I'm reading, but yeah, it's possible. It's how I first read Morrison's Invisible's for the first time, anyway. |
