amen to that... BTW nadams, I am also in college and have become a victim of apple's high pricing. =( I've wanted a macbook pro forever but, well you know the rest...anyway, can i rely on VMWARE to run OSX onpc, or vista for that matter?

I honestly love the Mac OSX.My issue being in college that I can't afford the prices. Ill use VMWARE to run OSX until I can buy one. I own a copy of Tiger and can't wait till I can get a newer mac. I only own a PC now and its really nice but here's advice to apple and thats LOWER your prices!!!

Heres some good info, it runs on my pc perfectly with vista. My Specs: AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual 2.0Ghz2gb ramgeforce 6150SE (integrated graphics) 128MB

Thats pretty cool! I always like emulating... stuff. But seriously, when you click the desktop and drag, that grey thing should move just like the XP equivalent does. I mean that looks sooooooooooo slow. If you want to give OSX a go you need to dual boot without vista running in the background. Kill your VISTA partition and dual boot OSX86 with XP for teh games

i'm running pearpc with a software program which is just as much a hack paralells or vmware is, hell, even Macs need boot camp to run windows, and really? you think your bottom of the line iMac can beat my PC? let's take a game for example, can you run Crysis on gamer's settings? cause i can, and how much did you pay for your Mac again?

i have a job thank you very much, but that doesn't mean i'm going to waste my money on a computer i don't need, not singling out Macs though, i wouldn't buy a Dell or HP computer either.

depends on your computer and the distro of OSx86.

it's not an install either, it's an emulator, and it should be as simple as deleting your pearpc directory and possibly any disk images if you saved them somewhere else. |
