The first time I heard this song was in D.C. on 95.5. I was on my summer vacation with my momz and grandmomz(RIP) visiting family. I had my boom box in the back seat of the car and listened all day so I could record it. I got it and bumped it all the way back to N.C. I took this song and my new Chuck Taylors back to Durham like I was a new trend setter. They didn't know 'bout those Chuck Taylors.

That was proven to be untrue years ago; she never said it. Some of y'all need to stop listening to old-ass rumors and taking them as truth, lol. That statement could be attributed to any black person and they'd have the same reputation. Lauryn Hill is not a racist and she never even made that statement, straight up.
