The leeches were sent to both the Training Facility (seen in 0) and the Research Facility (seen in RE1/Remake) where they started the outbreaks as well as sent to the train in the beginning of 0. The butterfly at the end of 0 simply symbolized S.T.A.R.S. getting caught in Umbrella's web.

sorry about the misspell, and weren't the leeches only involved in Resident Evil Zero? I mean I remember that mansion blowing up as well only seeing a butterfly remained which signified that was the only remain of the T-Virus I guess hmmm I guess I answered my own question :D

1. It's Birkin.2. Birkin did not use the T-virus. Marcus's leeches caused the outbreaks at the mansion.

Wesker of course.
Whitefox789 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Alexia has the T Veronica Virus there is a difference between hers and Birikhims T Virus that started the outbreak in the Mansion and Wesker can't have the G virus because he didn't have a sample of it until at the end of Resident Evil 2 when Ada got him a sample off of the dead body of Birkhim

That too. Alexia's got some serious issues, much like her twin brother does. Creepy twins... |
