Fun fact for everyone out there: That pinkish house back there is a classmate of mine's house! Of course it's been redone since then and is white now, but I think that's pretty cool! And I drive by that elevator in the background every day on my way to school. :) Oh and fyi, we don't really talk like that up here, but that's why it's funny!

I agree, the Coen brothers are great at casting. William H. Macy is so good in this role. Frances McDormand is great also, and Steve Buscemi.

"Yeah right now! You're darned tootindt!!" William H Macy is fantastic in this. The Cohens have an uncanny knack with casting.

Golden: Well, maybe 'cause if they did 'water down' the accent, you guys wouldn't notice it. ;)I haven't seen Fargo, only parts of it, but I think the accent adds to the absurdity of the story a 'film noir' set in the upper-Midwest.

Good point, aleahrae. I have seen O Brother and agree with your point. I guess I just can't get beyond the inaccuracy of the accent because I live in Minnesota, but I can understand how the exaggeration could enhance the film for others.

Golden: Well I think the Coens tend to exaggerate accents. Have you seen O Brother, Where Art Thou? It just gives the movie character.
