i heard many descendants are from Ghana
Rasprogress (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
The are actually descended from Ghana. U can tell this for instance in the name "Quarcoe" which is "Kwaku". Bra takumah stories are Anansi stories taken from Kwaku Anansi's son, Ntikumah. Jamaicans use the word "Bissey" for kola nut which is also called such in Ghana. There are numerous examples I could give including logggings from Ship Vessels that left Elmina Castle. Sierra Leone on the other hand was the place purchased by the British to settle some of her freed Jamaican slaves.

No! The African slaves transported to Jamaica came from Ghana and Ivory Coast. Look it up properly!
