You are right, our ways are founded in ancient Shamanism or Folk Ways. There is a blending of the two called Hedgewitchery and I am making my own I call Folk Wicca which is a blending of Folk Ways and Wicca. Wicca may not be an old religion but it is derived from the ancient ways.

Another interesting talk. I like the reference to your own (past life)experience, which always gives what someone says an authenticity. As the guru says: "Dont accept any statement because I made it. Even if it is true a hundred times over, it is still not your truth, it is still not your experience, and it will not belong to you. Bring truth into being and then it will belong to you. Regard the lives of those who have achieved truth only as proof that the goal can be reached.
