namanpotoh ....Wrong concept my friend...That was not Hydrogen fuel cell. What they did was they use hydrogen as fuel to a regular engine. You need more technical knowledge.

Where you gonna get the energy to make the hydrogen? It reqires more energy to seperate the hydrogen from H2O?
buda3d2007 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
try getting in a crash with compressed hydrogen!
itissoeas (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Great concept. Now why don't we make the hydrogen on board instead of taking years to build the infrastructure for pumping stations? All you would need is about .65 LPM to run the car. So why are we not going the next step?
boyett5 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
That's easy, You can make a tank that will not explode and weigh two tons each.

conotoxin ... Try to get involve in a crash wit a compressed air.
boyett5 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
madpaintbalerx ... It will not drop because it will take more expensive electrical energy to produce hydrogen from water.
boyett5 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
namanpotoh ... Nope.. That was a wrong concept.
madpaintbalerx (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Yeah, but these cars are concepts. Once they are mass produced, prices will drop. Henry Ford did the same with the Model T.

Certain tanks have been invented that will not explode. Plus, by the time these cars hit market, we will have perfected the storage. |
