For my money, I prefer Donald McIntyre's voice for Wotan... But you just can't go past Morris' stage presence and the "playfulness" he brings to the role.

I'm sure he has plenty of naked pictures, he looks like a good old boy.......... But this is not why he is great. He is great because of his rolling thunder voice and inimitable stage presence, This is a true house sound, grand enough for Wagner on the biggest of the worlds stages

Tenorisimo that is not true.I have heard Morris live and up close. It's an absolute cannon of a voice. He played a fabulous Reingold Wotan in his prime. I like his work in Walkyrie and Siegfried as well, but the slightly younger Wotan accomodated his stage persona the best.
