The gift of understanding that Byron Katie seems to offer, is that the door to Clarity is opened only by the key of Honesty; this gift she offers, unconditionally. By questioning our thoughts we give ourselves a chance to take up that key of Honesty, or not. Clarity leads to true Freedom; the choice whether to experience it, or to suffer in some way, is ours alone. I get it.

I dont know exactly how to not listen to my thoughts.If im jealous,and i try to keep my cool, it hurts in my heart.Because i like the guy so much and just the thought of him being enlightened by another pretty girl is hurtful.Especially when she likes him the way i do.Its like we both are pulling on him and i feel bad about doing that.Then it hurts im my heart because i believe that im not worth hanging around in that situation.Like i need something to trust him in what he says(that he likes me)

right. it helps me to know that absolutely everything i do is a choice- I don't have to do anything, nothing forces me to do things but me. when i'm aware of that, i either realize that i love what I'm doing or that i should change what I'm doing!

Wow that one really hit home. I have suffered from Jealous, but kept believing it was my partner that was doing the wrong. Never, really looked at my own thoughts and what I was doing to myself.

I agree, the work has been the only thing that has helped me out of lifelong depression. I'm thinking of becoming a facilitator. Abraham is like a confirmation to me that we are here for joy and expansion. (I was raised to 'suffer and pay' which has only brought me more of the same) Seth is like a cockier more techincal version of abraham. Easier to read than watch on youtube but you have to watch if you haven't. really I think the work is the best place to start for anyone whose ready.

Well, I asked because I applied the 4 questions on Abraham and wondered if someone else came to the same conclusion (not that it's really important, but for the joy of discussing). I find that "The work" is the only thing for me that goes to the root of the problem and helps me to deal with it, instead of many other methods where you're supposed to do things not knowing how.. "just do them" BTW, I ordered the first Seth book..

Katie doesn't judge, so she wouldn't have anything to say, unless she knows them personally. It's not about whose right or wrong on the part of either. I don't see why you feel the need to compare in that way. I found both through Wayne Dyer's recommendations. Katie is 'enlightened'(free of ego)like Eckhart Tolle (who speaks very highly of her) Abraham is channeled from non-physical, like Seth in the 70's and others on youtube, sharing what they know and promoting happiness. It's all good!

Have you guys checked out the methods of "Abraham Hicks"?? I find that - that woman repeat herself on every question asked, and the asker has basically no part in the conversation. I wonder what Byron Katie would say about that work.. Also all their videos have positive feedback.. which is a bit fishy.. What do you think..??
