Her versatility and incomparable acting skills compensate her technical problems. She was unique and remains as an irreplaceable Icon. No one can match her audacity. Even some people said she damaged her voice because her vocal abuse by attempting many and so different characters in demanding operas. But she did an amazing job. She exchanged longevity with an unparalleled intense life on stage!

I adore Callas. But to be honest she didn't have the perfect voice. She wasn't as good as Leontyne in Aida, She wasn't as good as Monserrat in Norma, She wasn't as good as Birgit in Turandot, She wasn't as good as Sutherland in Lucia de Lammermoor. But she was great in any kind of roles. From the heaviest to the lighest and most agile roles.

MY GOD. It's simply mind-blowing how Callas can sing Mozart with absolute grace and delicacy and then turn to something as emotional and as powerful as this. This is truly why she was (and remains) the ultimate DIVA!
