Funny to see Sonny and Max wearing the same clothes that they wore in the photo sleeve for the The Kings Are Here LP! I think Zero told me he still has the old suit from 28 years ago, too! Great video - great song - even greater band!!!

I agree! This is one of the best feel good songs ever! And one of those songs you just GOTTA crank when it comes on the radio! Well worth the funny looks from drivers of other vehicles at the red light as I'm in my car belting out "Two! Three! GO!!!"Pet Peeve: when radio stations only play the Switch into Glide portion. Blasphemy!

I just felt 20 some-odd years younger again. Thank you for posting. I had forgotten all about STG. If you cannot smile after listening to this song, you're broke and need to be fixed!

DOH! I should have guessed that.Well, Celine isn't really my cuppa either, maybe because I'm a NAINOTNOROT :)

It's supposed to be derogatory term used by English Quebecers for their Quebecois freres. Spell it backwards.

Thanks for that overview! Between the net abbreviations and the call letters, your post makes quite an alphabet soup! I got everything except GORF. What's that?

oh my gosh! you listened to WLS too? that's where i first heard this song. it's a total rock along sing along tune. i lived 8 hours away from chicago and could pick up WLS somehow...it was great station i miss larry lujack and little tommy's animal stories in the morning...

IIRC, you didn't get airplay on BFBS or German radio. AFN played the USA top 40, or in the case of AFN Bremerhaven what the DJ's liked or thought was avant-garde at the time. WHEB, Radio 103,here in Manch., NH plays this song periodically as what they call "TRUE" or "REAL" Rock. Great that U guys are Canucks as well!!! Haven't heard much from other Canucks like Cory Hart, Bryan Adams or Chilliwack, etc. Celine Dion, even though I'm a GORF, isn't my cuppa.

For real? The record company told us we had no success at all outside North America! Time to pull out the old airplay royalty logs...And btw I have a vague recollection that our drummer, Max's family was from Bremerhaven. |
