i reacon the mayor went the completly wrong way with his comments, now the only women who will most likley go to isa to find a man will be the desperate slutty bushpigs that cant get any attention in there home towns, he could have had a whole farmer wants a wife style campaign and the men could meet some lovley single ladys that are sick of big city bachelors, the mayor needs to save the towns humiliated reputation for being a desperate hick town & you folk in mount isa need a new mayor

Lisa Wilkinson ran dolly mag for years,and has had a column on Womans day mag for ages also.Womans day mag only even seems to talk about celebs being too skinny or too fat,weight loss this weight loss that.Ther was one edition with a pic of Nicole Kidman on the front with legs crossed showing a bit of cellulite with the title"There is a god"I mean what the fark is wrong with these hypocrits.Lisa wilkinson brings NOTHING to television,she has the same know it all demeneur as Gretel Kileen!FOFF!

Good on you Bob. Have known him for years and went to school with his kids in Charters Towers. There's no truer North Queenslander and that interview was typical of the `head in the sand' attitude southerners take to our great north and the characters who live there. The mayor was basically saying, `If you are struggling to find a bloke in your home town, come to the Isa because you don't have to look like Nicole Kidman to find a bloke'. It's common sense, something many city journos lack.

The only ones that used the word ugly were channel 9 including a caption across the bottom of the screen during the whole length of the interview and of course the females wearing the t shirts and i'd say in that case that was a fair call.Lisa Wilkinson is just another journalist puppet doing what she is told and saying what she is told when she is told.

Bob Katter is a very popular man in ALL of Queensland, not just his electorate. He always wins more than 2/3 of the primary vote for his seat at federal elections.

Bob Katter is the only polly that does'nt deserve machine gunning and sending to the russian front.He is a ppl's politician (as they all should be) and that is why no one can get close to him at an election.Stay in the bush Bob or the powers that be will do the same to you as they did to Hanson. |
