The first verse of Genesis (1:1) is filled with science. In the "beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Scientists used to think the universe was eternal but with Einstien and the hubble space telescope it was founf that the universe was expanding (bible also speaks of this 1000's years prior too) and hence had a beginning, just as the Bible said.
