It was more accurate than this piece of trash was.C'mon mind guns? They didn't exist in the book. Everyone used knives. Sure some got their hands on guns but....The worms looked awesome in the 2000 one. The fighting was more eventful than the 80s one. Though I do admit Sting (while not keeping character with the book) was more badass than that pretty boy fag they got to play Feyd in the new one. They both have their ups and downs. The new one wins in my book cuz its more accurate.

no - don´t forget the whole atmosphere. the pathetic story, the prophetic music. star wars (really great, too) was "only" a movie. this is even more. i love how the managed it to bring the written words, the style of frank herbert (people do more think than speaking out loud)to the big screen

Considering the time it was made this was a very poor adaption of the novel as Star Wars raised the bar on everything of this gender. Hopefully, if Ringworld is made they will do a better job than this.
