that is one tough song to pull off, i think it was an experiment into a totally different genre. umm, kinda like fleetwood mac and tusk. the energy seems to be lacking, my guess it was new piece. sometimes a band gets tired and this might have caught up with them. overall though it was cool to involve the audience. still having fun and that is what in the end counts. my hat is off to them. and wow, she is a beauty. hey remember when 'gay' meant happy it still does. give them a break.

Yeah, I guess so. And maybe he found the time to be right to turn to something different. Being old in in the hard rock scene isn´t very comfotable :-)

I was in Blackmore's Night concert in this spring and actually was a bit disappointed them playing this song and few other Purple. I mean I think he doesn't have to do that anymore but of course he has every right to do so. But imo Blackmore did the right thing by leaving the Purple behind and trying something else. It would be dishonest to stay in band just for the safety if the relations in the band are not in the right shape.
