Yea definitely, I actually think Gervais and Merchant started to get the idea for this show from the Office. Such as, in the Xmas special of the Office, Brent is trying to capitalize on his 15 minutes of fame and is in denial that no one respects what he does or really knows him, and he even has a crappy agent too like Andy.

That part in the restaurant was too hard to watch for me. Particularly at the end when the disabled kid leaves with his mum, looking at Gervais. I had a hard time laughing at this, I'm probably too politically correct...

quite simply my favourite 'comedy' ever, things likeat 2 mins...'make some excuse and leave us alone' yeah right lol lol lol. i dunno exactly what it is about extras but it stirred sumthing in me that no other tv show did in 42 years
