the song is called "kurialayz". it's a good song and an appropriate one for such a tragic event and one that didn't have to happen because NASA knew about this problem since 1977 and did nothing about it.

Look at the picture at 01:37-01.39... at the lower right there is a puff of dark smoke coming from the booster. That is the O-ring burning. It sealed, and might have held 'til release of the booster, but the strong wind shear that day rocked the stack so much that the seal broke. On the pictures at 02:09 and 02:10 the extra flame that punctured the main tank is seen...

All such good people! and I sure hope that is was not, in vain! I do so blame the rush to launch was a political, However with all the ice that day showed the "o rings" or so they say was the problem! And I was working that day along with some friends, And for some reason all of us (5) went to a bar for lunch, When we walked in, It was like a church! it was so quite, we sat there about 4-5 minutes, and then we understood, from the replays on TVs, What a loss to all of us,RIP!And You are Missed!

The song "Sara" by Starship always makes me think of this tragedy. It was playing on the radio when it happened. I'll never forget it. One line in the song is "fire and ice", ---there was ice on the launch pad and fire when it exploded. I almost cried all over again watching this. Great video tribute! |
