I honestly don't mind that your translations of his lyrics are 100% accurate. Just as long as I have some idea of what he is saying/singing. I am sure the Hebrew lyrics are even more beautiful. I really want to learn it. It is such a beautful language with so much historical background to it. How do you say:a)Hellob)Goodbyein Hebrew?

you're most welcome my friend. i've translated most of Harel's clips here on Youtube ,at least those i found to draw most foreign interest. i'm glad you liked it, but i wouldn't want you to judge the song by my translation because:a. i'm not a professional translator by trade or anything.b. due to basic differences between hebrew and english the translating process kind of takes the edge off the original lyrics and doesn't do it justice, just keep that in mind, and enjoy yourself!

Thank you for the English translation. I never would have guessed that this song had such a symbolic meaning behind it. It is a really beautiful song; both its tune and its lyrics. I just barely starting listening to Hebrew music, specifically Harel's. I am an American (and a Christian) and I have a special interest in Israel and its history.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION: this is one of the greatest war songs of our nation, it deserves to be translated. this is, of course, a song sung AFTER the war (originally YOM KIPPUR war, 1973) in memory of brothers who fell defending the country.

(part-2)but we shall remember them allthe handsome and proud ladsbecause this kind of brotherhood will neverallow our hearts to forgetlove, sacred in bloodshall blossom amid us once again.the brotherhood, without words we carry yougray, persistent and silentout of all thoes great nights of horroryou remain, brightly burning
yonataneshel (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
(part-3)the brotherhood, as your lads we are allagain in your name we shall smile and go onbecause comrades, who fell on their swordsleft you alive to rememberCHORUS-end- man, it sounds so much better in hebrew..
