mmmm, I do not know that it is all symetrical. I know on guitar, the nut (don't know if it's the same on violin but the part where the strings are open before the pegs) is also different sizes to accomodate the size difference in the strings. This is very apparent on a bass (me and my dad, mainly him hehe, put one together and i almost glued the nut on the wrong way hehe). So yaz.

Nice, but why a bandsaw? why not a scroll saw? The blade is much smaller and could get closer the first time around.
