The winners in WW2 were USA and USSR. The losers were Germany and Great Britain. Britain lost an empire and became a servant of the USA. Churchill needs to be partly blamed for this.

The casualty rate was lower than what was expected.Churchill was/is the only good leader my country (Canada) has ever had and he wasn't even a Canuck. Mckenzie King was our prime minister during the Second World War but unfortunately he was totally spineless (a characteristic that almost all of today's Canadian federal politicians share regardless of political party or affiliation). During WWII Churchill was our leader and the very best.

Britain promised to give India its independence if they helped in WW2. India was a far more important piece of the British Empire and 100x the loss Northern Ireland would be so i do not see why you think it would never happen. |
