Wheeling has it's good and bad areas like any city, but lately, they have been making an effort to try and spruce it up as well as bring buisnesses back again.

Well, that horse racing track now is a dog racing track, complete with a brand new casino that is expanding soon.I should know, as gues where my home w town is ? Yup, Wheeling, West Virginia, lolNever knew this song was so popular, lol

I just saw a documentary about Richard Nixon. Wheeling WV is where he clinched the nomination to be Eisenhower's deputy for the 1952 election even though Ike was going to dump him. Some places can get famous quite by accident. If Nixon hadn't been accused of misusing election donations, he probably wouldn't have flown to WV at all.

It was recorded at Festival Records studios in Pyrmont, a suburb of Sydney. The building is now a supemarket, but has much historical info around the building acknowledging its history. I live 1 mintue's walk from there, and I always think of just who recorded there. The Bee Gees, for instance, recorded their first tracks there. As did Kylie Minogue, along with tons of local Oz stars.

It was also a hit in New Zealand, but perhaps Sedaka is one of those people who thinks they're the same place.I clearly remember hearing it on the radio around the time I started school. Always kind of liked the piano part in the chorus
