Best front man? Yeah, that he is. Along with a awesome guitar player as well. But if you say that his vocals are the best ever, then you need to clean your ears out. I am not saying his vocals suck, but they could use some work. You would think after all these years he would have better vocals, but no.

that little "uhhh" thing can actually be hard to NOT do. i do it to...it's the sound of cutting off the note and air quick...so yeah...what he need to lose is the exciessive "yeah yeah" shit...those little quick exhalations you don't really hear those when sung over a track. they just sound annoying when listened to singled out.

You would think after all these years and albums that he would be able to sing, take lessons or something...NOPE. Metallica is great i admit and so is James (at guitar) , but he voice just has to go. and your right, all that YEAH YEAH YEAH shit after every line is just to much.Thank god for all the effects and filters and studio goodies to make his voice sound somewhat decent on the albums. But james, Seriously stick to guitar.

I like Metallica, but his vocals werent that great. And the uhhh's at the end of every sentence are retarded, just trying to sound powerfull but its not needed.
