Perhaps the coder's preoccupation with eyes is symbolic in nature. That is, think of the enormous resolution from the myriad of moving eyes distributed over the countless stalks, buds, tentacles, etc., were their collective visualizing power pooled to construct an single visual scene. The result might approximate the resolution of the simulation.

they can. they sense light and dark and behave accordingly. many plants move throughout the day to follow the sun, too. I don't know of plants with evolved eyesight like ours, but they have what they need to do what they do.

uuhmm no evolutional basis for it it dosnt need to see becouse it kinda dosnt move a lot it juist stik in the ground and starts growing it has no need to dodge preditors like animals thats wy we have sight to see predetors and prey which are vital for our survival
