According to what I have read, she was not taking her anti-depression medication and with the recent loss of her contract with Concord Recording and her job at the "Oak Room" at the Algonquin hotel in NY it all becane too much for her.A great loss to the jazz community.

Such an intelligent and moving singer.Huge loss. I remember her wonderful visits tothe now defunct Top o'the Senator in Toronto.Her recordings are underrated gems.

Susannah McCorkle was fabulous. As Antonio Carlos Jobim is my favorite composer, I was particularly drawn to her wonderful bilingual recordings on her album Sabia. Her mother lived across the street from my tennis club here in Berkeley and she said Waters of March/Aguas de Marco by Jobim was Susannahs favorite song to perform as it filled her with happiness.

Thanks for posting this! There needs to be more of her videos available.I was lucky enough to see her on two separate nights at Dimitriou's Jazz Alley in Seattle back in the late 90's. On the second night she autographed the photo of her & me from the first night. And she sang my request, "The People You Never Get to Love" at the beginning of her second set, and dedicated it to me. She sounded even more beautiful in person.I was devastated when I heard of her passing. Such a loss.

I would assume some company is having her videos pulled from youtube? I mean, shouldnt there be at least a few more, for someone having been so famous?
