Try saying this to a religionist: "I contend that you and I are BOTH atheists. I just believe in one fewer gods than you. When you understand why you dismiss all the thousands of possible alternative gods, then you will understand why I dismiss yours." Try it, then duck, because there are no more violent, hateful and vengeful people than the devoutly religious. I suppose it is their fear of truth that stirs them to violence.

Like him or not he is right....religion as history shows is a dangerous thing. Have any of you seen the ads against obama on some of the churches? Churches are tax exempt they should keep there political ideaolgy off there church bill boards. and heres some examples of your "GOD" at work..salem witch trails, crusades, spanish enqusition, and countless others millions of dead all carried out by your loving self rightous retoric. Im just glad people are finally getting smarter thanks to evolution

i dont think religion gets it wrong the shaping over time does do u know how many gospels (sp) there were a lot more than 4 they were omitted because they were by women or judis wrote one or it made jesus seem mortal

I have found that when I speak out in my community I am ostracized. I had the same thoughts before I knew who he was. But he is right on all counts. I ask this, Wasn't Zeus a God before the Christian God? Why don't we pray to him, or any other God? Programming???

He is right, we do keep quiet about how dumb religion is. I personally do it because religious people might actually kill you if you don't think like they do. But I love how he doesn't keep quiet. Finally someone intelligent is saying something. Maybe this world isn't lost just yet. Even if we have a loooong way to go to save this world.
