That's one thing I always thought was fun about Japanese tech. They've got the substance, but they always add a bit of style too. Did it need the glowing blue rings on the motors? No.Does it make it look like sci-fi high-ass technology? Hell yeah.

if the signals are there, but weak, why not amplify them and reapply to patients muscles back? and what happen if the paralysis is caused by the lack of nerve signal altogether?

this is good for paraylised below the waist, but not neck because people will not be able to pick things up still and also urinate etcits great for below the waist.

sensors atached to the skin detect the weak signal from your brain to your muscle even before your muscle reacts.. this is the reason of the strength improvement.. the robot is moving the same way and at the same tie you are trying to move yourself.. and since it is atached tou your body.. your body takes support on the robot.. so you kind of rest while hal oes all the work.. get it? =)
