At least the auto-changer doesn't add considerable wow and flutter with each successive record being dropped.

It's probably then an AC motor. Damusician is better on record players than me and could probably know more what's causing the speed to be fast. But if there is a 50 or 60 Hertz selector switch, switch it and see if it fixes the speed.

it cant run on batteries and i've never opened it up so i dont know what the actual motor looks like
CassetteMaster (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Can it run on batteries? What does the motor itself look like?
PeterCRissKISSgod (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
well its portable so it folds up, the speakers fold in the back and then the turntable folds out in the front. you cant twist the speakers around so it all faces one way,.

How big is it and what does it look like?
PeterCRissKISSgod (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
how would i be able to tell if it is and AC or DC motor?
CassetteMaster (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I'm not sure, if it uses an AC motor, then it might not work for this, but if it uses a DC motor, there may be a speed control. If it does use an AC motor and it runs off 60 Hertz and set to 50 Hertz or vice-vera, then it probably needs to be switched. Hope you could follow this...
