If you think back, the show mostly showed Wilma was always or at most in the house, its because this show was made back in era where women didnt have full rights yet and when they married they could not get normal jobs except just being a housewife. Kinda interesting how real life affects cartoons eh?

I grew up with The Flintstones , Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes , I learned english from them :D , well most of it . These cartoones will allways be funny , now when I watch I understand them and all those words I didn't know when I was young , for example the "gay" at the end , I never understood what it ment .

Is this where the Simpsons got their opening from? It's got similar themes; driving home from work, crashing into the garage, even a couch gag at the end.

Where can i find The Flintstones on DVD.The Flintstones was like a kinds animated sitcom.Totally awesome clean fun. Wit exception to Top Cat i think the Flintstones were Hannah &Barbera's greatest creation , even better than Scooby Doo.Innocence is lot that is why great shows like this are no longer created. I miss them days

NoodleDoodle, you can have Edd 3, but we'll both always have Flintstones. As for the last posting, yeah, that first theme does sound like the Bugs Bunny show theme (both shows aired the same faLl, 1960).

I like the other Flintstones theme better, it seems more original and unreplaceable.

What a great cartoon wished it still came on.

I swear a couple of years ago i heard that they stopped playing the flintstones so much because it contained scenes of smoking.. It was a great show though |
