Episode title: "The Robot Stegosaur"Summary: A huge robot in the shape of a prehistoric monster raids and steals from a uranium storage facility, leaving the International Science Organization and it's delegates of various countries concerned and baffled as to the source of this destruction. Dr. Benjamin Brighthead, the only person to previously knew of this menace, steps up and officially anounces the existence of both the evil alien "Galactor", as well as the "G-Force" squadron formed to defend the earth from Galactor and his army of soldiers and robots.----------------------- -------This is the very first episode of "G-Force: Guardians of Space" (1986), the second of three English dubs to Tatsunoko Productions' "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman" (1972), following "Battle of the Planets" (1978) and preceding ADV Film's uncut Gatchaman release (2005).Episodes and footage for this dub are VERY hard to come by (in English), so enjoy the episode and let your voice be heard if you were or are a fan of "G-Force: Guardians of Space'. The more fans who speak out the closer we could get to an opportunity for a full series release on DVD! Also feel free to contribute any G-Force: GoS episodes or footage you may have!!!

"G-Force" is much more faithful to "Gatchaman" than "Voltron" was to "Golion". Apart from the name/music changes and the cutting out of extreme, TV-PG esque violence (firearms, deaths by firearms, violence between G-Force members) "G-Force" was a near straight translation of "Gatchaman" as ADV's dub of Gatch would later do (albeit much better). "Battle of the Planets", the the first English dub of "Gatchaman" BEFORE "G-Force", now that is the "watered down" version of "Gatchaman".

Battle of the Planets (1978) is the American dub of the 1972 TV anime known as Kagaku ninja tai Gatchaman. Of the 105 original Gatchaman episodes, 85 were used in the Battle of the Planets adaptation, produced by Sandy Frank Entertainment. This formed the basis for "G-Force:Guardians of Space" which was a wholly reworked show which debuted nearly a decade later (1986).I also remember battle of the planets and watched it as it aired originally in '78 shortly after the debut of Star Wars.

This really takes me back. I remember watching this show everyday after school back when I was a kid in the mid 90's and for the longest time, I though this was the coolest show ever and actually dreamed of being a member of G-Force (kinda silly, but then again, I was only like 6-7 while watching this). I'd love to see someone release a box set of G-Force.
