Michael Moore is so meladramatic. I have no problem with Socialism its self, but as far as medicine goes just take a look a Canada, their systm is failing and people are suffering.Waiting in huge line for surgery, and even something as MRI's or a biopsy.

Prsrulz, don't kid yourself. If you want to keep your guns to possibly start a revolution then the obvious question is: What are you waiting for? If you don't think the present state of affairs isn't justification enough to start a revolution then your lack of social awareness, by itself, such be sufficent grounds to prevent you from ever owning one.

And also Gunrelated crime is by far the higest in USA. Gunrelated deaths are 14,42 per 100 000 people. In Mecico, that number is 12,69 per 100 000 people. In sweden that number is 1,92 and Japan 0,05 people per 100 000. Michael Moore talks about this in "Bowling for columbine". The fact is that in USA it's in the constitution to have the right to own a gun, but you don't have the rigt to be treated if you get shot by that gun. In Europe and Canada it's the other way around...

Ha Ha, i loved the revoulution question alot, i've never really thought about it. I don't think anyone here thinks about stuff like that. It does sound like fearpropaganda from NRA though. Well, revoulutions have been fought through times both with and without guns successfully. And someone will always supply people with guns if it'll be needed. But the fact of the matter is that your gunlaws are out of control today. Any gangster is allowed to own a gun, with terrible results following.

Here the Gunlaws are much like the Canadian. It is possible to own a gun but it is heavily restricted. It can take months to be granted a licence. And criminals aren't allowed a licenses. There are laws on how the guns should be kept during the nights etc. Illegal trafficing with guns exists though, unfortunatly. And it's possible to see a rise in gunrelated crimes in some areas, but it's still among the lowest in the world and its still safe to wonder around at nights feeling safe...

one question that i have for you, a little off - topic, but i'd be interested to know your opinion...how do countries like Sweden view the U.S.? what do you think of when you hear of an American? you can be brutally honest...
prsrulz064 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
weapons would virtually take complete advantage. It's a stretch...but do you see my analogy? gov't involvement could make things safer, or "healthier", but it gives rise to the ability to take advantage...even if the gov't is the people
prsrulz064 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
interesting alternates...i will definatly check those out! well what i'm saying is, any government can easily become corrupt. But let me give you an example...over here we just had a bill proposed that would limit weapon use. I'm not sure what the gun laws are over there, but we were basically gonna have no access to weapons. Suppose we wanted to have a revolution...how are we supposed to do that? pitchforks? you might make a case that the streets would be safer, but in general, whoever owned

Ofcourse there is, several of them actually. It doesn't have to be fully sociolized like the one we have in Sweden. The Germans have a semi insured system, the suisse have a system much like yours, except for nonprofit insurancecompanies. There are tons of different systems. Look at these "Sick Around the World" and "onecarenow", i prefer the last one...
