I like the Gerard Depardieu version. But I LOVE this one. Steve Martin's Roxanne is #2.Cyrano and I are too alike. Yearning for love but believing it impossible.

This, and the scene where Cyrano "falls from the moon" are AMAZING. I love the entire movie.

I think both Cyranos are great. but i'm torn between choosing between the two!! if only jose was french. then Cyrano would be the ultimate man!!! :)

If you liked this movie you should see the 1990 french version. Gerard Depardieu signed here an incredible performance as Cyrano.Hearing the original verses in their native language only makes the experience more powerful and enthralling, and the verses does actually rhyme, which is a true pleasure.
